This is the home of our two African elephant ladies Sara and Yvonne

The elephant is currently the biggest living terrestrial mammal in the world.
The pen was enlarged in June 2008, so that Sara and Yvonne have enough space.
On the wall in the elephant house there is an experiential station, where children learn how the elephant teeth grow and how the elephant feet can carry such a heavy body weight.
