The DARWINEUM comes to life !
On Sunday, 8th of Semptember, the DARWINEUM opens it's gates.
After ten years of brainstorming, planning and 1 1/2 years of construction, the vision of a new species-appropriate accomodation for our apes will be realized.

Places for man and beast
Over 1700 animals in 250 different species look forward to you and your visit.
Rostock Zoo tries to configure the facilities as natural as possible. Nevertheless the visitors have the opportunity to search and find even the most dangerous animals through glass plates.
