Darwineum Restaurant with Langnese Happiness Station

Anyone who walks from the Tropical Hall in the direction of the exit will be stylishly welcomed in our gastronomy area. You can purchase ice cream specialities or a sweet snack at the Happiness and Snack Station. Anyone who wants more of a selection will get their money’s worth in the restaurant. Regional fish and meat dishes, a large selection of fresh salads, fruit, delicious desserts and cakes are waiting on you. Take a seat and be enchanted by the unique view of the outdoor facilities of the orangutans and ring-tailed lemurs.

Café Käfer

At Café Käfer with its sun terrace with a view into the countryside and of a small stream course you can enjoy refreshing sundaes, coffee specialities and cake. If you like it savoury, order pizza, pasta and salads from the open kitchen.

Lodge

The Lodge towers high above the fairground and directly alongside the playground. In our self-service grill restaurant you can order fresh French-fried potatoes, curry sausage and schnitzel dishes, among other things.

Grillhütte

Directly at the transition from the historical into the new part of the zoo you will be welcomed from April to September at our rustic Grillhütte (Grill Hut). Enjoy delicious sausage specialities in the shade of large trees and near the water playground.

Fischhütte

You can buy tasty fish buns, fried fish and other snacks at the Fischhütte (Fish Hut). Here you can have a little break with a view of the lions.

Kindertraumland (Children’s Dreamland)

Even the name reveals what awaits children here: cotton candy, candied nuts and bonbons as far as the child’s eye can see. In addition, there is a small offering of snacks to fend off hunger.
